Many symptoms of pregnancy are also signs of an impending menstrual period. So how do you tell if what you’re feeling is PMS or pregnancy? A missed period is one of the best indicators. If it’s paired with a number of items from the list below, pregnancy is an increased possibility and you should probably take a pregnancy test. We offer free, confidential pregnancy testing, so give us a call or come on in.

Free Pregnancy Testing
“I need a pregnancy test”
If you’ve missed your period, you’re probably considering taking a pregnancy test. Our confidential pregnancy testing is accessible, accurate, and quick. Most pregnancy tests available today are urine-based. These tests measure the amount of pregnancy hormone in a woman’s body. Our medical-quality tests are more sensitive than some home pregnancy tests and can reliably detect pregnancy within a day of a missed period.
A negative test result might bring relief, but we recommend a follow-up test if you haven’t gotten your period within a week of taking a negative pregnancy test. Unfortunately, some women don’t generate enough pregnancy hormones in the early stages of pregnancy to trigger the test.
Haven’t you missed your period yet? You’re welcome to come in for free pregnancy testing, but be aware: most pregnancy tests are not reliably accurate before a missed period.
Pregnancy Calculator
“How do I figure out my due date?”
Doctors date your pregnancy from the first day of your last menstrual period. You’ll probably soon have the date memorized as every time you visit your doctor or another medical professional, they will ask you for this date. A normal pregnancy lasts 40 weeks from the first day of your last menstrual period, although anything within 3 weeks of that mark is considered “term” (normal). When we talk about your pregnancy as being so many weeks along, we are using this date for our calculations.
Here’s a rough calculation of your expected due date:
- Add nine months and one week to the first day of your last menstrual period.
As your pregnancy progresses, your doctor or midwife will have a better sense of your due date based on their examinations and measurements, significantly aided by your ultrasound at 18-20 weeks, during which the technician will also take detailed measurements. Your doctor or midwife may revise your estimated due date after receiving your ultrasound results.
